Active sports Sagres

The center of Sagres is located on the beach of Martinhal, the wind has some seasson and towards Lagos but stronger between 20 and 45 knots, kite surfing is only recommended for experienced riders. For kite surfing on the waves, our favorite sport is the carrapateira or Bordeira beach 10 km from our center with constant swells in summer and 15 or 16 hours crosswind between 10 and 20 knots. Bordeira is a good wave spot, we use kites from 9 to 13  because the wind at summer is not very strong. In Martinhal we can only rent kites to experienced riders so we can offer 2 or 3 days of kitesurfing on the waves and the rest in calm water in front of the center, customers usually rent a car to move around more easily but we can also offer the transfer service to Bordeira. For  beginners kiters or with less experience we recommend the Lagos center. 

For clients who like windsurfing on the waves about 2km away, we have Tonel beach with crosswinds from about 15 to 35 knots.

Sagres is also a very famous surf and sup destination. The Vicentina coast is 3 km from the center and has waves almost every day without wind.

Our center is close to Sagres, a fishing village where seafood is much appreciated, a "percebes" plate or good fresh fish is recommended. We recommend this location for those who like pure nature, away from the crowds and who do sports all day long.
