The small archipelago known as Cabo Verde is located about 500 km from Senegal.
Starting from Paris is 5h30 flying. Cape Verde is a small paradise in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and shows a mix of the three surrounding continents: Europe, Africa and America. The easternmost island of Sal is open to all winds and receives all swell from the north of the Atlantic. Sal is a relatively flat island with a barren, dry and wild landscape, but has beautiful white sandy beaches that run into a range of turquoise tones.
The winds blowing from the northeast regularly throughout the year. This makes Sal the ideal spot for windsurfers and kitesurfers. The wind blows hard from October to April, and tempers a bit the rest of the year. In the summer it is ideal for people who want to progress quickly in their sport.
