ION (ex Club Mistral)

Our center is located in Pointe Le Morne on the premises of the Riu Creole & Riu Le Morne Hotel embedded in shady palm trees with a perfect view of the spot. Directly next to it you will find the SPA area of the hotel a restaurant. The waters edge is only a few steps away. Security is our top priority: the centre is equipped with two rescue boats.

The Kitesurf spot Le Morne is one of the best and most versatile, if not the most versatile, area in the world. Here you will find all kinds of kitesurfing conditions in a concentrated space: from the shallow water lagoon over small waves at the Small Reef past Platin Rouge to Manawa or the notorious wave spot "One-eye" the spot located in the southwest of Mauritius offers perfect conditions for all skill levels.

PREMIUM KITE INSTRUCTIONS

The ION CLUB Prestige with its individual and exclusive Kitepremium product is on the grounds of The JW Marriott. We offer premium kite training from the boat here. Either with private or semiprivate lessons to book.

As you know already our center in Le Morne has to reinvent itself for the coming up closing of the RIU hotel for renovations.

For 2023, we will have the following structure :

- ION CLUB Shop / La Gaulette: Windsurf & Wingfoil equipment rental (located on the main road, outside of La Gaulette, direction Le Morne)

- ION CLUB Dinarobin: PREMIUM SERVICE: Kitesurf, Surf & Wingfoil with private boat, SUP excursions // shuttle service to Kite lagoon & La Pointe

- ION CLUB JW Marriott: PREMIUM SERVICE: Kitesurfing, Surfing & Wingfoil with private boat, rental, supervision and SURF lessons // Shuttle service to Kite lagoon & La Pointe

- ION CLUB La Pointe: Reception for advanced Windsurfers & Wingfoilers // Handover and return of mast step for windsurfers and wings for wingfoilers // Security service for ION CLUB guests. 

- ION CLUB Kite lagoon: Kitesurfing, Wingfoil & Windsurfing lessons, Kitesurf rental Opening hours between 9.00 and 17.00 daily, all year round 

ION CLUB Shop and ION CLUB La Pointe will be operational from April 1st 2023. 

As before, we provide a shuttle service between the different hotels in Le Morne and our centre at the kite lagoon and at La POINTE, this service is exclusively offered to our ION CLUB clients

 - The biggest change will concern Windsurf and Wingfoil rentals

 - Rental clients (Windsurf & Wingfoil) will have to rent a car (a pick-up), pick up the equipment booked at the beginning of their holiday and return it at the end of their holiday to the ION CLUB SHOP in La Gaulette/ Coteau Raffin. Clients must be able to rig their own equipment.

At La POINTE, we will hand out a Lycra to each ION CLUB rental guest, so that they can be easily spotted on the water.

At ION CLUB La Pointe, we have planned a reception, and our team members will give mastfoot for windsurf rental, wing/foil for Wing foil rental. For safety reasons, clients must return the mastfoot or wing before 5pm. 

- There is a security boat on the spot (La Pointe) to keep an eye on our clients. We offer wetsuits, boots, harnesses, helmets and impact vests for our clients who take lessons. We recommend all our rental clients to bring their own wetsuits, harnesses and boots.
