The Fun2Fun Windsurfing&Kitesurfing Center is located on the beautiful sandy Aghios Georgios Beach, on the northern coast of Kos. Head for Marmari Village and drive to the sea, then follow the signs to the Grecotel Royal Park and you will find us there on the beach!
We know that maximum windsurfing pleasure and your personal success goes hand in hand with the windsurfing equipment you use - so expect only the top equipment from 2010/11 in our center! Our center is equipped with 30 Fanatic Boards and 50 North Sails with up to 75% carbon skinny masts. We have special kids gear as well.
We are offering a “Fix&Mix” rental system!
Book the board of your dreams from home and this becomes your personal fixed board for the duration of your stay. That means you have a 100% guarantee that there is always a board available for you when you want to go on the water. Should the wind be stronger or weaker, and your reserved board is not ideal for the conditions, it’s no problem at all. In addition to the booked fix boards we also have a mix pool with boards which are not pre-bookable. You can change your board at any time or just try out another one if you feel like it!
In kitesurfing we are equipped with 10 boards from RL-boards and Best and 20 Kites from Bestkiteboarding.
Furthermore we have 4 Catamarans (Hobie Cat 15, 18 & Top Cat F2).
Our spot is risk-free! No reefs, no currents and no nasty creatures or rocks!
The most frequent wind direction is N, NW and W, which is side-onshore (from the right) to sideshore (from the left).
We have a 50 metres long sandbank which is quite shallow, and this, coupled with the gentle morning 2-3 Bft breeze provides optimal conditions for windsurfing beginners, as well as for catamaran sailing.
Frequently in the afternoon thermical reinforcements increase the wind to 3-5 Bft from the west (almost sideshore), giving ideal conditions for kite lessons, or for windsurfers learning to sail in the harness and footstraps. Freeriders will also feel at ease practicing new moves, or just enjoying a relaxed session gliding over the water. Whether kiting or windsurfing - everybody can enjoy their time on the water!
The famous Meltemi wind system blows here on Kos with up to 6-7 Bft. Thanks to the funnel effect created by the two islands located off of our beach, Kalimnos and Pserimos, the wind is reinforced where the station is located and you can enjoy strong side-onshore wind from the right, making Marmari one of the windiest areas of the island. You heart will miss a beat, and that’s before you hear about the waves that it creates which can reach 1.70m, ideal for jumping or learning the basics of backside wave riding. Even in these strongest of conditions, the shorebreak remains easy to pass for experienced surfers.
The Meltemi comes at irregular intervals and can give us up to five days of continuous joy all over the summer.
We have a Baywatch tower, and a rescue boat is at the ready at all times: we take your safety very seriously.
