Dakhla Lassarga Ocean Vagabond ****

Lassarga is just 10 minutes from Dakhla Airport. It feels like you have arrived at the end of the world. It is a stretch of unspoilt long sandy beach with a fantastic point break that makes for a great long right wave. Lassarga is a fishing village, located on the southern tip of the peninsula of Dakhla.
After surfing a long wave a few meters from the sandy beach, you simply walk back to the peak. If you want to surf for several hours in 1 day, this is the place to be!

Kiting is also possible on this waves spot. If you prefer to kite on flat water or if you want to learn to kite, the professional team of ION Club will take you along by tractor or 4x4 and you will be at a lagoon with flat shallow water in 6 minutes. (5eur) At the ION club you can rent kite, surf and windsurf equipment or take lessons.

Wake up to the sound of the sea. The wooden eco lodges of Lassarga are on the spot, feet in the sand. You just need to get up and walk a few meters to the perfect gulf of Lassarga. The comfort of these bungalows awaits you!
Relax your muscles with a yoga session before or after surfing, several times a week you can participate in these free sessions.

Full board is included in the stay: In the beach restaurant you can enjoy a varied buffet, a combination of international and Moroccan dishes. Menus of cooked or raw vegetables, salads, tagines with meat or fish, barbecue, as well as desserts and homemade cakes ...

After surfing you can rest for a while in the hammocks, drink a nice Moroccan tea on the terrace or go on a trip.

You can kite in Dakhla all year round, but for surfing and kiting in the waves we recommend the winter season.

Le Club Ion propose le service storage obligatoire si le matériel est apporté.

La sécurité est assuré sur les plans d’eau par des zodiacs et du personnel qualifié.

Pour les kiteurs confirmés ou les surfeurs qui souhaitent se rendre sur le spot débutant, transfert en zodiac disponible sur le plan d’eau côté lagon.
Temps : 6 à 10 minutes / Tarif 15 € par bateau / Maximum 3 personnes.

Possibilité de downwind le long de la côte, depuis le port de pêche de Lassarga jusqu’au camp.
Temps : 45 minutes / Tarif 30 €.
 

KITESURF
- Fantastic spot for confirmed riders on Ocean Side. Flat water for freeride and freestyle during summer and waves for wavekiting during winter.
Also great for intermediate riders willing to learn kiting in waves.
- Amazing spot for beginners and intermediate riders on Lagoon Side. Private spot (no other riders apart from ION CLUB guests), shallow water for 200 to 400m and sideshore wind.

SURF
- Fantastic spot for beginners and intermediate surfers on Ocean Side. One of the longest waves of Morocco, extremely easy to read and to catch.
Long rides allow for more practice.
- No paddling back to the peak. Waves are so close to the shore that you get out at the end of your ride and walk back along the beach to the peak.
This allows surfers to catch many more waves than any regular spot.
- Good spot for advanced depending on conditions – interesting on very good swell days, but on regular days it might be too soft.
To complement it, there are several other spots within 15min to 1h30min car ride from Lassarga with varied conditions, so we can find the best spot for them.
However, advanced riders should be warned clearly about conditions at Lassarga and the need / option of surftrips (for an additionnal fee).

WINDSURF
- Fantastic spot for intermediate and confirmed riders on Ocean Side. Flat water for freeride and freestyle during summer and waves during winter.
Also great for intermediate riders willing to learn windsurfing in waves.
As windsurfing at ION CLUB Lassarga is only possible at the spot called “Ocean Side”, the spot can be highly recommended for intermediate and advanced windsurfer.
For beginner it can be quite challenging, this is why we only offer private and semi-private windsurf training.
