Hello Peter,
### Great vacation in Fuerteventura at the Innside Melia, Playa Barca, Playa de Sotavento
Our vacation in Fuerteventura was perfectly organized. When we arrived, our car was already waiting for us in the parking lot, ideal for storing our wingfoil equipment and suitcases. After a 50-minute drive, we arrived at our hotel, where we were warmly welcomed. Dinner was already waiting for us.
Our room was on the second floor of a two-storey building. The room was very spacious, with a two-meter-wide bed, a daybed and a bathtub overlooking the lagoon. The bathroom had a double shower and everything was spotlessly clean. The view of the ocean and lagoon was breathtaking. The hotel is new, stylishly decorated and exudes a soothing Zen atmosphere.
The staff, both in the rooms and in the restaurant, are incredibly friendly. After three days, they knew our names and knew where we liked to sit. The extensive morning and evening buffet was delicious. The infinity pool, with its stunning views and bar, was one of the hotel's highlights. Two or three times a week, expert yogis gave yoga classes.
The area around the Innside Melia is magnificent, with long, beautiful white beaches and a breathtaking lagoon. The neighboring coastal towns are quite touristy and less attractive.
It was possible to wingfoil on site, but we preferred the Ion Club in Costa Calma, a 5-minute drive away, where we were greeted more warmly and professionally. Costa Calma has a beautiful sandy beach and nice beach bars for a drink or lunch.
In summary, Fuerteventura, Playa de Sotavento, Playa Barca, the lagoon and the Innside hotel are definitely recommended.
