Beste Peter en Caroline,
Sorry voor al die laattijdigheid ...
We wilden jullie nog even bedanken voor de rechtzettingen met betrekking tot onze reis naar Jericoacoara.
De zopas gestuurde mail betreft gewoon onze minder positieve ervaringen in Casa Do Turismo.
groetjes
Dear,
Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We had a very important meeting with Casa do Turismo and are able to see some improvements already.
The staff responsible for serving breakfast has changed, but we couldn’t find any problem with the food itself during our inspection. However, based on the attached document, we will go point by point again in order to assure that everything is under supervision.
Every client should be able to request pancakes, tapiocas or eggs since it is included in the regular service. In order to avoid future communication issues, they are putting some signs in English in the breakfast area with this information as well as making satisfaction surveys available in the rooms.
Regarding the room itself, we can’t influence their style, but it’s very important to have your opinion.
With reference to the electricity coming from the shower, they are still working on it, so I’ll get back to you soon.
Once again, we apologize very much for the inconveniences caused to you and we really hope that Casa do Turismo, which should be for sure far away better than Pousada Pôr do Sol, is able to cause you a completely different impression than you had this time.
Kind Regards,
Carolina Gropp

…Casa Do Turismo …
Dear Carolina,
As promised, hereby a few remarks about our stay from 23/12/2008 till 10/01/2009 at the pousada named Casa De Turismo.
Room : practical, but not at all what we thought to be “Brazilian style” and the plastic ceiling made it really ugly
Bathroom : Too small ! The washing table is nothing more than a handwash and the shower-compartment is unsafe because there is a switch right above your head and we felt electricity coming out the shower-head everytime we took a shower.
Hygiene : The domestic hygiene was ok.
Garden : ok
Breakfast : The girls serving the breakfast were pretty lazy (talking in the kitchen at 25 m from the breakfast area or laying on a sofa on the groundfloor while above people needed coffee,
hot water, fruit, jam, …) and very often not kind at all (where was the Brazilian sweetness and hospitality we could find everywhere else in this beautiful village), almost never paying attention to the needs of the clients (some mornings families were really waiting for a clean table while only one person is slowly doing her job), and we noticed a few times that while we had no jam, no eggs, no mango or other fruit, … but trying to eat our bread with melted butter and warm cheese or warm meat some Brazilian clients got pancakes and baked eggs straight from the kitchen on their table !
The butter, meat and cheese stayed in the heath for three hours without cooling.
The juice was 95 % water with some remains of fruit in it.
The hot milk tasted sourishly (I personally noticed this fact two times).
So we have some questions about the food hygiene.
Two times I had to go down and ask for hot water and then it took 15 minutes to have it.
The last morning we were taking breakfast, there was again no jam and when a lady asked for it she got the answer : not today, tomorrow !!!
My companion went to buy chocopasta in a shop …
We are sorry to complain about all this but you have to know that we were not alone with this; we talked with people from the Tsjech Republic and Argentina about this pousada and I can tell that we were all on the same line and neither of us did find this attitude and quality “correct” and “good”. Roberta from the reception of Club Ventos told me this year more clients have had complains about Casa Do Turismo.
Anyway, we hope that this remarks will help future clients.
Yours sincerely
