Kitepark
Lefkadi Kitepark is the first Kitesurfing school in Mainland Greece as well as the first Kitepark in the whole of Greece. Since 2006 Lefkadi Kitepark has been active in delivering kiteboarding lessons as well as organising other activities and events for the global kiteboarding community with the participation of athletes and artists from Greece and abroad.
Kitepark is operating yearly from March until end of October delivering a wide range of services, while thermal wind blows almost daily onwards at circa 15 to 20 knots with a parallel to the coast direction.
The wide range of services offered in Kitepark’s facilities in Lefkadi and the ideal weather conditions constitute Lefkadi Kitepark as a perfect kiteboarding destination for both learning and practicing Kitesurfing and wind related sports and many other no wind alternative activities
LieuLefkadi Kitepark is located close to Halkida, 50mins from Athens and one hour from Athens’ International Airport. Access to Lefkadi is either through the newly built motorway (2009) that
allows for a quick and pleasant trip, or via the Oropos-Eretria ferry link.
Halkida has a buzzing nightlife with several bars and clubs open until the early morning, while in Lefkadi beach, only minutes away from the Lefkadi Kitepark facilities, there is a picturesque marina and a number of restaurants and tavernas suitable for all tastes. A wide range of accommodation options is available to suit all tastes both in Lefkadi beach and in Halkida making the area an ideal relaxing destination while practicing a fascinating and rapidly evolving sport.
