Mauritius Le Morne

Dear Friends,

I just came back from Mauritius and I am pleased to give you a personal feedback of the situation in Le Morne Hotels.

The wind was excellent and we had every day wind between 5 and 7 BFT or 17-28 Knots of wind. The island is extremely green and the temperatures very pleasant. We could windsurf and kite every single day with great conditions and very little surfers on the water, what of course is a pity.

I met the new management several times during my stay and my impression was extremely positive.
There are a lot of changes and improvements going on, they already employed a lot of new team members and managers, some of 5 star hotels .The new management team takes the teaching of all members of staff as a priority. For the new management the most important is service, quality, friendliness, hospitality, cleanliness and step by step every day they come nearer to their main goal: great affordable hotels with high guest satisfaction.

The Mornea next to the kite lagoon is fully functional, very clean, nice ambiance, good food.

The Indian situated in the middle, will be ready within the next 2 weeks (around 25 of April), here they have to finish the roof of the main restaurant and they are delayed because of the heavy rains during the last weeks. Everything else in Indian is ready to be open.

The Moreva, which is situated directly next to the public beach, will be in future the main hotel for our surf guests as it is designed to be a sports hotel. The Moreva is not ready yet, the date of the official opening is around the middle of August.

Our Club Mistral center will move back in the Moreva before they open their doors, planned is end of June.
